Navigation: WP Admin > NimblyMail > Email Logs
The email log gives you a complete, searchable record of every email your site has attempted to send. Use it to confirm delivery, diagnose failures, and resend missed messages.

Log Table
Each row in the log table represents one outgoing email and shows:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Date | When the send attempt occurred. |
| Recipient | The To address of the email. |
| Subject | The email subject line. |
| Source | The plugin or WordPress component that triggered the email. |
| Duration | How long the send attempt took in milliseconds. |
| Status | The outcome of the send attempt. |
Status Indicators
| Status | Indicator | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Sent | Green check | The mailer accepted the message for delivery. |
| Failed | Red X | The mailer returned an error. |
| Pending | Gray dash | The send attempt has not yet completed. |
Columns are sortable. Click any column header to sort by that field. Click again to reverse the sort order.
Filtering and Search
Use the controls above the table to narrow the log to entries you care about.
- Status tabs — Click All, Sent, Failed, or Pending to filter by outcome. Each tab shows the count of matching entries.
- Search — Enter a recipient email address or subject text to filter matching rows.
- Pagination — Use the page controls to move between pages. The number of entries per page is configurable in
WP Admin > NimblyMail > Settings > Email Log.
Viewing Email Details
Click a subject line or the eye icon on any row to open the detail drawer for that log entry.
Details Tab
The Details tab shows the full metadata for the email:
- Status and error message (if the send failed)
- Recipient, CC, and BCC addresses
- Date and time sent
- Source plugin or component
- Mailer used
- Send duration
- Email headers
- Debug log output (if Debug Mode was active when the email was sent)
Email Body Tab
The Email Body tab shows the message content in the format configured under Default Message Format:
- HTML — The email rendered as it would appear in an email client.
- Raw — The unprocessed HTML or plain text source.
- JSON — All email parts as a structured JSON object.
Tip: The Email Body tab only contains content if Log Email Body is enabled in
WP Admin > NimblyMail > Settings > Email Log.
Managing Logs
Resend
Click the resend icon on any log row to re-send that email immediately. The email is dispatched using the current mailer configuration. A new log entry is created for the resend attempt — the original entry is not modified.
Delete
Click the delete icon on any row to permanently remove that log entry.
Bulk Actions
Select multiple entries using the checkboxes, then choose an action from the bulk actions menu:
- Resend Selected — Re-send all selected emails.
- Delete Selected — Permanently delete all selected entries.
Delete All Logs
The Delete All Logs button removes every entry in the log table. A confirmation prompt is shown before deletion proceeds.
Warning: Deleted log entries cannot be recovered. Export or note any important information before performing bulk deletion.
